My name is Layla, and I am the proud owner of The Day-of, LLC. I started this business to provide day-of-event coordination services to clients born out of an industry void.
Regarded as a calming presence with a flair for creativity in corporate and private events, I am a NorCal-based creative and day-of-event manager with a background spanning over 16 years. Time spent leading event staff while offering in-house day-of services for Bay Area events and wedding venues has led to creating The Day-of. While engaged in over 200 hosted and private events plus weddings, not including corporate events, I noticed something was missing in the industry—and that is, The Day-of.

As the owner of The Day-of, LLC, I am proud to offer specialized services gained through Food & Beverage, and Hospitality industry experience, where my training positions me to manage the day and control risk while leading with a guest-first motto. My time in Silicon Valley overseeing Workplace Programs and events enables me to hold events with engrained safety standards, where ADA, food allergens, and other considerations are always top-of-mind. My specialization includes de-escalation techniques, monitoring and controlling alcohol consumption, table settings, the first look, grand entrances, ceremony setups, wedding party line-ups, and DJ cues. While onsite, you will find me capturing candid and behind-the-scenes moments while applying the finishing touches and always caring for you and your guests.
About Me.
When not immersed in weddings and events, I work in the Security industry as a Technical Security Global Program Manager and former Technical Fire and Security Project Manager, overseeing physical and digital security and helping to keep commerce activities, customers, and personnel safe from threats and intrusion. I quickly found that my success in managing projects, programs, and schedules and my customer-first motto unintentionally blended into my ardent for events and clients across two disjointed industries. When not working, I enjoy lighting a candle or incense and being immersed in the reverberation of sound baths and tuning forks while surrounded by crystals. I also enjoy sitting poolside or visiting small-owned businesses to meet new people while supporting locally, plus trying foods that scare me!
