I’m Layla, the proud owner of The Day-Of, LLC. I launched this company to fill a long-standing gap in event coordination, where providing clients with calm, capable day-of support built on logistics, timing, and contingency planning is our mission.
Known for my steady presence and behind-the-scenes command, I bring 16+ years of experience across weddings, private events, and in-house venue coordination. After leading over 200 hosted and private events and witnessing the gaps in traditional service models, I created The Day-of to offer the support I always wished existed.
Industry Experience & Training
My background in Food & Beverage and Hospitality leadership taught me to manage events with a guest-first mindset, while maintaining safety, timing, and experience. I’ve overseen alcohol compliance, ADA requirements, safety protocols, and vendor coordination—from ceremony lineups to restraining personnel.
Before launching The Day-of, I spent years managing workplace programs and events across Silicon Valley. That work sharpened my ability to de-escalate issues, control risk, and ensure events stay on time, even under pressure.
About Me
Outside of events, I wind down by lighting a candle or incense and rebalancing with tuning forks or a sound bath to restore calm and energy after a busy wedding weekend. I’m drawn to spaces with charm, small businesses with soul, and conversations that stir up creative sparks. I find joy in curating calm, even when no one’s looking.
